This postcard was sent to us from Russia. It was sent by Tanya, who lives in Ulyanovsk, 4275 kilometers away!
On the card you can see the image of a moving tram; this made me think inmediately, and before looking at the back, that the card was coming from Lisbon, the city where such a form of public transport is most famous; but no, and the image wasn't taken in Russia either: it is described in a footnote as a 'Retro tram' in Istambul.
On the back we read that Tanya has just finished her university studies, and that she wants to become an English or German teacher. She will soon be studying Swedish, and asks about our preferences. Yes, I think we would like to learn Russian, Tanya, but it looks quite daunting...
